Over 85% of positive patients in Muttrah recover

Muscat: The recovery rate of COVID-19 patients in Muttrah has crossed 85 per cent, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health.
The overall recovery rate in Oman stands at 66 per cent.
The Tarassud app which provides updates on the COVID situation in Oman, and the world in general, reveals that in Wilayat Muttrah, of the 8,292 people who have tested positive, 7,102 have recovered so far.
1,141 people are still sick in the wilayat, and 49 have unfortunately lost their lives due to the disease.
In terms of recovery, Wilayat Muttrah leads the way in Muscat governorate. In Seeb, the rate is about 70 per cent (9,591 people from 13,666 have recovered), while in Bawsher, it stands at 77.5 per cent, as 7,540 recoveries have been made from 9,734 people.
In Wilayat Muscat, 1,081 of the 1,428 people who’ve tested positive have recovered, which means there is a recovery rate of 75 per cent. 1,816 (66 per cent) of people in Amerat (2,750) have also made a successful recovery. 758 people have been diagnosed with the disease in Quriyat, of whom 434 (57.2 per cent) have recovered.
The Governorate of Muscat has reported 36,628 people having contracted COVID-19 so far, or 54.9 per cent of all cases in Oman. 27,564 of those who have successfully recovered are in Muscat, corresponding to 62.6 per cent of the 44,004 recoveries reported in the country.
Some 8,895 people are still sick, while 169 people have died from the disease in Muscat. Across Oman, 22,339 people continue to have COVID-19, while 318 people have sadly died due from it.
Seeb has reported the highest number of COVID cases in Muscat so far, at 13,666 cases, amounting to 37 per cent of all occurrences of the disease in the governorate. Wilayat Bawsher is second, with 9,734, which corresponds to 26.5 per cent of cases in the capital. Muttrah is third, with a total of 8,292 cases, or 22.6 per cent of all COVID-19 tests that have returned positive.
Outside Muscat, North Al Batinah has the highest number of cases in the country, at 9,597, followed by South Al Batinah at 7,399.
