100 persons arrested for thefts in Oman in June

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested 100 individuals, charged with theft during the month of June. The arrests were made across different governorates in unrelated incidents.

A statement issued online by the ROP said: "100 defendants who committed 83 theft crimes in various governorates of the Sultanate during the month of June have been arrested."

"The ROP praises the cooperation of citizens and residents in uncovering these crimes, stressing at the same time the need to take the necessary precautions to secure property," the statement added.
