Abu Dhabi takes big step towards becoming COVID-free

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi has taken a huge step towards becoming free of COVID-19, after private hospitals in the city reported no more cases of the disease on their premises.

These facilities, however, will continue to provide specialised services for patients in the capital of the United Arab Emirates who continue to present with symptoms of the coronavirus.

“The hospitals of Burjeel Medical Group and NMC Healthcare, as well as Ain Al Khaleej Hospital are now free of COVID-19 cases,” said a statement from the Abu Dhabi Media Office. “The facilities continue to provide specialised and full healthcare services to patients.

“The consistent efforts of the healthcare sector and testing in line with the National Screening Programme have drastically reduced the number of cases requiring medical care,” added the organisation.

Those suffering from respiratory symptoms are requested to go to the hospitals designated for COVID-19 cases, namely Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Hospital, and Al Ain Hospital.

“Public-private partnership in the health sector has been a critical success factor in providing care for COVID-19 patients in Abu Dhabi,” added the Abu Dhabi Media Office.
