Dubai starts welcoming tourists

Muscat: Dubai airport, which had been closed since March 26 due to coronavirus, has started receiving tourists from Tuesday.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, DCAA, said: “Starting today, Dubai is welcoming visitors from around the world with the highest standards of health and safety, in line with international protocols.”

People travelling to Dubai should take a PCR nasal swab test before their flight to Dubai, in a hospital or private clinic in their home country. “They need to carry the results to Dubai. If the test is valid and recognised in UAE, and if they show no symptoms after landing, they will not be tested in Dubai or quarantined,” officials said.
