Market visitors must follow these precautions in Oman

Muscat: Precautionary measures for the visitors and vendors at markets have been announced by Muscat Municipality.

A statement issued online said: "Vendors and visitors to the market must comply with the following health measures :

1- People not wearing the masks and/or with body temperature more than 37.5 degrees Celsius will be denied entry.

2- Maintain physical distance between shoppers by leaving a safe distance of not less than 1.5 metres.

3- Children and the elderly are not permitted entry during the shopping process.

4- Entry to the market will be limited, so that the number of shoppers do not exceed 30 per cent of the market's capacity.

5- Consumers must not touch fish.

6- Use unused display tables to set a distance between sellers and cutters.

7- Ensure that there is proper ventilation in the market.

8- Make sure the surfaces are cleaned continuously.

9- Only one entry and exit will be used to ensure regulations are followed.

10- All market personnel must adhere to health requirements and precautions to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus, including a commitment to wear gloves and masks throughout the work period and to change them frequently."
