Muscat: Some parts of Oman, including the Al Hajar mountains and adjacent wilayats, could see isolated rainfall and thunder on Sunday, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said in its weather forecast.
“Clear to partly cloudy skies along coastal areas of Dhofar. Mainly clear skies over rest of the Sultanate. Chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches along most of the coastal areas," the forecast said.
PACA also said: "Today's sea state and wind forecast is 'rough' (waves of up to 3.5 m height) along the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea.
The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 37 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees in Muscat, 31 degrees and 28 degrees in Salalah, 38 degrees and 33 degrees in Khasab, 38degrees and 31 degrees in Sohar, 41 degrees and 29 degrees in Sur, 44 degrees and 30 degrees in Nizwa, 45 degrees and 31 degrees in Ibri and 45 degrees and 32 degrees in Buraimi.
The Oman News Agency (ONA) said: “The highest temperature expected on Sunday is 47 degrees in the wilayat of Fahud and the lowest is 21 degrees in Jabal Shams.”
