Isolated rainfall predicted over parts of Oman

Muscat: There are chances of isolated rains accompanied by thunder and fresh winds over Al Hajar Mountains and adjacent wilayats on Saturday , the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said in its weather forecast.

“Clear to partly cloudy skies along with coastal areas of Dhofar and chance of cloud advection over Al Wusta and South Al Sharqiyah. Mainly clear skies over rest of the Sultanate with chances connective clouds developments and isolated rain occasionally thundershowers associated with fresh winds over Al Hajar Mountains and adjacent wilayats during the afternoon. Chances of late night to early morning low-level clouds or fog patches along most of the coastal areas. "

PACA also said: "Today's sea state and wind forecast is 'rough' (waves of up to 3.5 m height) along the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea.

The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 38 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees in Muscat, 33 degrees and 27 degrees in Salalah, 39 degrees and 30 degrees in Khasab, 37 degrees and 30 degrees in Sohar, 43 degrees and 32 degrees in Sur, 46 degrees and 32 degrees in Nizwa, 46 degrees and 33 degrees in Ibri and 46 degrees and 31 degrees in Buraimi.

The Oman News Agency (ONA), said: “The highest temperature expected on Saturday is 48 degrees in wilayats of Fahud, Adam and Haima and the lowest is 22 degrees in Jabal Shams.”
