'The Nursing Now' campaign launched in Oman

Muscat: A campaign titled 'The Nursing Now' has been launched under the patronage of His Excellency Dr.Ahmed bin Mohammad Al Saidi, the Minister of Health.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Health (MoH) said, "The Sultanate of Oman launches 'The Nursing Now Campaign', which is an international campaign launched by the World Health Organization in cooperation with the International Nursing Council and sponsored by the Burdett Trust Association, at a public office of Ministry of Health, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Saidi, Minister of Health. "

The MoH also said: "The campaign comes within the framework of strengthening the capabilities of the workforce in nursing and midwifery to achieve universal health coverage for all members of society."

"The Sultanate will be represented by the Ministry of Health (General Directorate of Nursing Affairs) in cooperation with the Omani Nursing Association and
representatives of nursing groups in the health sectors and public and private educational institutions," the statement added.
