Oman's commerce and industries ministry records over 3,000 transactions

Muscat: Over 3,000 transactions have been submitted to the Ministry of Commerce and industry (MOIC) from March to the end of May.

Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al Shammakhy, Director of Conformity Department at the General Directorate of Standards and Metrology at the MOCI, explained, "During the period from the end of March to the end of May 2020, the number of transactions that were submitted to the department have reached 3,329."

He added, "The transactions were in the building materials, electrical products, chemical products, food products, mechanical products sectors as well as conformity certificates for cars and tyres, which were studied by the specialists at the ministry. 2,909 transactions were accepted and adopted."
