Petroleum Development Oman to provide 3D printers to technical and vocational colleges

Muscat: Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), company has signed a funding agreement with the Ministry of Manpower to provide 15 new 3D printers, the Ministry of Manpower announced.

A statement issued online by the ministry said: "As part of its continuous efforts to support the education sector in Oman, PDO today remotely signed a funding agreement with the Ministry of Manpower to provide 15 number of 3D printers for the Ministry's Technical and Vocational Colleges. This agreement will benefit more than 10,000 students and create new jobs for lab technicians, education developers and innovation specialists."

"It will help students to use Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) equipment, equip them with the necessary skills to start their own projects and encourage them to innovate and create," the statement added.
