Sayyid Fahd chairs Covid-19 Supreme Committee meeting

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling developments resulting from coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic on Wednesday.
At the outset of the meeting, Sayyid Fahd expressed his appreciation for the role of the Supreme Committee and its contribution to alleviating the adverse impacts of the pandemic, which pervaded the whole world, and its underlying health, economic and social backlashes.
Sayyid Fahd also voiced the government’s recognition for the efforts exerted by all sectors of the state, notably the Sultan’s Armed Forces, the Royal Oman Police and security services. Sayyid Fahd also commended “the important humanitarian role of the health sector and the attention accorded to citizens and residents, as well as other public and private establishments.”
Sayyid Fahd pointed out that media institutions play a praiseworthy, leading role in this respect.
He pointed out that the collaboration of these efforts contributed to the realisation of positive results that reversed what would otherwise have been a great volume of risks and losses incurred by other countries.
In another note of commendation, Sayyid Fahd hailed “the civilized role of Omani society, its positive response to decisions of the Supreme Committee and its cooperation, which helped contain the associated impacts of the pandemic.”
Sayyid Fahd prayed to the Almighty Allah to protect this peaceful country and its leadership against any harm. He wished success for all.
