Open sewage pits can pose danger during tropical situation in Oman

Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA) has issued a warning about the dangers of open sewage pits during weather conditions like the current tropical situation in Dhofar governorate .

A statement issued online by PACDA said: "We ask citizens and residents to pay attention, take caution, and monitor their children to keep them away from open sewage pits in various residential areas in Dhofar governorate. These are open as a result of Dhofar being affected by the flow of wadis and pose a risk to the safety of children.
