Armed forces ready to deal with tropical weather condition in Oman

Muscat: The Sultan's Armed Forces have confirmed their readiness to deal with the tropical situation developing in the Arabian Sea.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Defense said: "In the context of the national duties and tasks and within the framework of permanent plans to contribute to the management of exceptional emergency cases, the Sultan's Armed Forces are following the tropical situation in the Arabian Sea near Dhofar Governorate and are in continuous coordination with other relevant government agencies."

"The Sultan's Armed Forces confirm their complete readiness to deal with this situation in accordance with the requirements of the situation and its developments and their permanent readiness to carry out search and rescue operations and provide support to the National Committee for Emergency Management in all sectors in the Sultanate," the statement added.
