Muscat: A number of areas in the Dhofar Governorate are witnessing rain as a result of the low pressure developing in the Arabian Sea. The state of Mirbat records the highest amount of rains.
Within 24 hours, the amount of rain recorded in the meteorological stations of the General Authority of Civil Aviation amounted to 37 milliliters in Mirbat, 12 in Salalah, 9.4 in Sadah and 4 milliliters each in Taqah, Qairun Hairati and Dhalkout.
The weather forecast for Thursday May 29, 2020, is clear to partly cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain, occasionally thundershowers, along the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and adjoining mountains.
"The weather is mainly clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate with chance of convective clouds development over Al Hajar mountains and adjoining areas during afternoon," Public Authority of Civil Aviation PACA added in their weather forecast for the day.
