Muscat: Oman's Health Minister, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, has been elected as the First Deputy Member of the WHO Executive Board for a period of three years.
The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health, took part in the 147th session of the Executive Board of the World Health Organizaton (WHO) which discussed a number of issues including the election of Chair, Vice-Chairs and Rapporteur.
The virtual meeting also discussed the global efforts exerted to tackle this pandemic by reviewing many scientific documents and global experiences.
