CBO announces auction results of 64th GDB issue

Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) announced the auction results of the 64th government development bonds (GDB) issue worth OMR200 million.

According to a media release issued by CBO’s Monetary Operations Department, the 64th GDB issue has received applications worth OMR266,917,200.

The average yield was 5.36 per cent at an equivalent price of OMR98.440 while the highest yield was 5.66 per cent at an equivalent price of OMR97.160 and the lowest was at 4.75 per cent at an equivalent price of OMR101.100.

The five-year bond was issued on Tuesday, May 19 and will mature on May 19 2025, carrying a coupon rate of 5.00 per cent per annum.
