Expat arrested in Oman on assault charges

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested an expat of Asian nationality on the charge of assaulting other expatriate workers .

A statement issued online by the ROP said: "Muscat Governorate Police Command has arrested an Asian national for assaulting, harming, and threatening petrol station workers while he was trying to steal money from the station's treasury. Legal procedures were completed against him."

In another case, the Royal Oman Police (ROP), arrested an expat on charges of possession and trafficking of alcoholic beverages.

A statement issued online by the ROP said: "The Oil and Gas Facilities Security Police Command has arrested an Asian for possession and trafficking of alcoholic beverages in one of the concession areas. Legal measures are completed against him."
