COVID-19: Group of people booked for violating Supreme Committee's decisions

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) stopped a group of people who were violating the decisions of the Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with COVID-19 in North Al Batinah Governorate.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said, “ The North Al Batinah Police Command stopped a group of people accused of gathering to practice sporting activities, and also violating the decisions of the Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with the coronavirus.”

“The accused were presented before judicial authorities to take the required legal action against them.” the statement added.

The Royal Oman Police called on everyone to cooperate, stop gatherings, practice team sporting activities, follow social distancing measures for the sake of public interest, and cooperate with the various agencies involved in containing this pandemic.
