COVID-19: Three more lose their lives in Oman

Muscat: 193 more people were reported to have tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, while three people died from the disease, according to government data.In addition, 31 new recoveries were also posted.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Oman, as of 18 May, 2020, stands at 5,379 cases with 1,496 recoveries and 25 deaths.
Statistics shared by the Ministry of Health show that among the cases reported on Monday, 153 of the new cases of coronavirus infection recorded were distributed in Muscat Governorate, 18 in South Al Batinah, 10 in North Al Batinah, five cases each in Al Buraimi and Al Dakhiliyah, and two new cases in South Al Sharqiyah.
In Muscat Governorate 65 of the 153 new cases were registered in the Wilayat of Muttrah, 51 cases in the Wilayat of Bausher, three in the Wilayat of Muscat, 32 in Seeb, and two in Amerat, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the governorate to 4,082.
South Al Batinah governorate ranked second in terms of coronavirus cases reported in the country, with a total of 416 cases. 18 of them were registered on Monday, with 12 of the new cases reported in the Wilayat of Barka. Al Musannah and Al Rustaq registered one new case each, and four new cases were found to be from the Wilayat of Nakhal.
