Bangladesh School Muscat declares 15% discount on tuition fees, exempt fines

Muscat: The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr Mohammad Sazzad Hossain Chowdhury of Bangladesh Schools in Sultanate, has declared a 15 per cent discount on school tuition fees due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

On behalf of the top management, he also announced that all types of fines on late payment of fees and other payables will be waived off. He also affirmed that the school will always help the students and the parents in any undesired situation.

As per the statement of Dr Mohammad Sazzad Hossain Chowdhury, it was decided by the Board that parents have to pay tuition fees up to June 2020 and no fees for July 2020. The discount of 15 per cent will be given to those parents who will clear all dues by June 4, 2020. Parents are advised to take this opportunity as it will not remain valid after June 11, 2020.

It was also decided that school fees counter will be kept open on appointment basis from 9:00am to 1:00pm from May 17 to June 11, except for public holidays. The
school will ensure full measures of physical and social distancing as per the directives of the Supreme Council. Parents can pay the fees using the bank account number 1049-248914-001 of National Bank of Oman.

The Board also decided to conclude the Academic Year 2019-2020 by June 11, 2020. The promotion will be given as per previous academic records of the students.

The Chairman urged all the stakeholders to have patience in this critical situation. “We know, we all have been suffering from this global crisis, especially our low-income people are suffering beyond imagination. We have decided that if the parents clear all the dues on or before June 11, 2020, they will get a 15 per cent discount on the total amount and will be exempted from all penalties," said the Chairman.

“On behalf of our management, I request the rich and educated individuals and organisation of the society to expand their helping hands towards Bangladesh school Muscat and branches by proving financial support,” he added.
