ROP arrests expats for violation of Supreme Committee's decisions

Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) arrested a group of expatriates on charges of violating the decisions of the Supreme Committee in Al Dakhiliyah governorate.

A statement issued online by ROP said, "Al-Dakhiliya Governorate Police Command has arrested a group of expatriates accused of practising sewing, ironing clothes which is a clear violation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee which is dealing with COVID-19. The expats were referred to the judicial authorities for legal procedures."

"The Royal Oman Police calls everyone for the necessity of cooperation and adherence to the decisions of the Supreme Committee and not to engage in suspended activities. Also, ROP calls on citizens and residents not to deal with these groups and to cooperate with the competent authorities," the statement added.
