Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has referred a group of individuals to judicial authorities on charges of participating in a gathering inspite of a ban.
A statement issued online by the ROP, said: "North Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command has referred a group of people, accused of gathering and violating the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19, to the judicial authorities to take legal procedures against them."
"ROP calls on all to stop gatherings and abide by the social distancing rules for the public benefit. It also calls on all to cooperate with the various bodies involved in containing this pandemic," the statement added.
