Close to 18,000 online labour permit renewal applications in April

Muscat: Almost 18,000 labour permit renewal applications were filed online in April, according to official data.
The number of online applications presented through the website of the Ministry of Manpower for renewal of labour permits (clearances) for non-Omani manpower in all governorates in April stood at 17,812.
The number included 16, 470 applications for renewal of commercial permits and 1, 342 for renewal of personal permits.
At 9,353 commercial and private applications, the bulk of online applications for renewal came from Muscat Governorate.
The renewal applications stood at 2,626 in North Al Batinah; 1,545 in Dhofar Governorate; 971 in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate; 940 in South Al Batinah; 779 in North Al Sharqiyah; 725 in South Al Sharqiyah; 448 in Al Dhahirah Governorate; 258 in Al Buraimi Governorate; 112 in Al Wusta and 60 in Musandam Governorate.
The online service offers the employers with the opportunity to renew the labour permits expired or about to expire.
