Muscat: Muscat Governorate reports 133 new cases of coronavirus today, followed by the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate with 13 new cases, according to the Ministry of Health application Tarassud.
Al Wusta governorate still free of coronavirus cases and Musandam Governorate records the lowest cases of infection, with only one patient and five recovery cases.
In general, the total number of COVID-19 cases registered in Sultanate is 3399 cases, with total of 1117 recovery and 17 deaths.
More than 66 per cent of Sultanate COVID-19 cases recorded in Muscat Governorate with a total number of 2476 cases, 1727 of them registered in Mutrah and 361 cases in wilayat of Seeb. Moreover the capital record 15 cases of deaths and 646 recoveries among the cases.
South Al Batiah Governorate ranked second on the number of infection with 183 patients of COVID-19, 125 recoveries and one death.
In Al Dakhiliyah Governorate more than 60 per cent of 168 registered cases have been recovered and 63 cases are still fighting against coronavirus.
The number of cases reached 157 cases in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, 80 per cent of which were in wilayat of Ja'alan Bani Bu Ali, which witnessed community transmission of infection and part of which is subject to health isolation. The governorate recorded 13 cases today where the total number of recovery reached 95 cases.
Al Dhahirah Governorate remains stable at 53 cases and in the North Al Sharqiyah also, with 37 confirmed infections and 18 cases in Dhofar Governorate, while Buraimi recorded 7 new cases today, bringing the number of cases to 15, including 5 cases has been recovered.
