Muscat: A commercial center has been referred to the judicial authorities for tampering with the prices of some electrical devices, where goods were sold at prices that differ from the prices announced on the shelf in clear violation of the Consumer Protection Law and its executive regulations.
Hilal Al Ismaili, Director of the Market Regulation and Control Department, Public Authority for Consumer Protection said: "This referral came in light of the continuous efforts of the Authority to control violators, where we received information about a commercial centre selling electrical appliances at a price higher than what was announced in the shelf, and as a result the inspectors of the Market Regulation and Supervision Department visited the aforementioned centre where the information was verified,"
"The commercial centre was raided and referred to the judicial authorities," he added.
