Over 200 egg baskets destroyed by mould in Muscat commercial centre

Muscat: Muscat Municipality destroyed more than 200 baskets of eggs at a commercial centre in Muscat governorate.

A statement issued online by Muscat Municipality said, "Muscat Municipality has destroyed around 245 baskets of eggs in one of the commercial centres in Quriyat wilayat, due to the appearance of mould and unpleasant odours, due to poor storage."

"Where a violation was issued on the center because it exceeded the health requirements in dealing with the conservation of food." the statement added.
