Dar Al Atta’a launches Shifa initiative in Muttrah

Muscat: Dar Al Atta’a Association has launched the Shifa initiative in cooperation with the Directorate General of Private Health Establishments, the National Pharmaceutical Industries Company, Oman Pharmaceutical Products Company and Muscat Pharmacy to help the needy in Muttrah wilayat. The initiative aims to provide basic medical supplies to the wilayat.
The initiative aims to provide basic medical supplies to the Wilayat of Muttrah. It targets a number of sectors including the patients suffering from chronic diseases in Muttrah, residents who have no health insurance cover and those who could not afford to bear the cost due to the lockdown, mainly those suffering from diabetes or high blood pressure and having heart problems.
Speaking about the initiative, Manal bint Mohammed Al Abdawani, member of the Board of Dar Al Atta’a Association, expressed her thanks and appreciation for the National Pharmaceutical Industries Company for donating OMR2,000 worth of medicines. She also extended her thanks to the Directorate General of Private Health Establishments, Oman Pharmaceutical Products Company and Muscat Pharmacy.
Since the early days of the lockdown, all sectors of the society have supported citizens and residents in the wilayat with the necessary supplies and commodities. Moreover, the expatriates in the wilayat with chronic diseases and who are taking medicines brought from their countries of origin ( due to the cheaper prices there) have faced difficulties due to the lockdown of the wilayat.
For this, Dar Al Atta’a has taken the initiative of Shifa “Recovery” to provide them with medicines as they could not afford to bear the cost and have no health insurance cover.
