Trapped worker rescued in Oman

Muscat: After a rescue operation that lasted more than four hours, teams from the Public Authority of Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA) pulled out a worker who had been trapped in a hole.

The rescue operation took place in Muscat Governorate and PACDA said in a statement,

"The worker was reached after dust collapsed on him at a depth of about four metres. He was taken out alive and transferred to hospital through ambulance to complete the treatment."

Previously PACDA had announced that for more than four hours, rescue teams at in Muscat Governorate had been at work and that efforts were ongoing to try and get the worker out.
