Royal Oman Police arrests seven people

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) thwarted an attempt to smuggle khat into Dhofar Governorate and have arrested 7 people of Arab nationality for the crime.

The ROP said in a statement, "Coast Guard Police command in Dhofar Governorate have thwarted the smuggling process of more than three thousand packets of khat through three different boats and have arrested seven people of Arab nationality for smuggling."

"Legal measures are taken against them," the statement added.

Meanwhile, North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command has arrested a person accused of displaying, drifting with the vehicle, and disturbing public rest, and legal measures have been taken against him.
