Muscat: There will be cloud condensation and chances of sporadic rains over the coasts of Dhofar governorate, the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) said.
In its forecast for Friday, PACA said, “The aerial picture shows the spread of clouds over Musandam and Northern Al Batinah governorates and cloud condensation on the coast of Dhofar Governorate with chances of isolated rainfall.”
“Most parts of the Sultanate will have clear and partially clear skies today.There is isolated rain, occasionally thundershowers associated with fresh wind and hail, over the governorates of Al Wusta, Dhofar and South Al Sharqiyah. Chances of dust and rising winds over desert areas. Formation of clouds over parts of the Al Hajar Mountains and chances of isolated rain accompanied by thunder, wind and hail later," the statement added.
The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 40 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees in Muscat, 33 degrees and 28 degrees in Salalah, 37 degrees and 25 degrees in Khasab, 36 degrees and 29 degrees in Sohar, 42 degrees and 29 degrees in Sur, 40 degrees and 28 degrees in Nizwa, 41 degrees and 30 degrees in Ibri and 40 degrees and 29 degrees in Buraimi.
The Oman News Agency (ONA), said: “The highest temperature expected on Friday is 42 degrees in wilayat of Sur, and the lowest is 17 degrees in Jabal Shams.”
