Muscat: A house in South Al Batinah Governorate, with expatriates living within, was raided for violation of decisions by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19.
A statement issued online by Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (RMWR), said: "In coordination with Royal Oman Police, Barka Municipality has raided an apartment house used by expatriate workers to practice the sewing profession. The raid comes in light of the closure of women's tailor shops due to the precautionary measures taken to deal with the coronavirus outbreak."
"All tools and equipment were confiscated and legal procedures are completed against the violators," the statement added.
