Virtual clinic service launched in Oman

Muscat: Royal Hospital launches a virtual clinic service that enables patients to communicate with the doctor remotely through a phone call to assess the situation and develop an appropriate treatment plan.

According to the hospital, the service will be provided by sending a text message from the doctor to the patient at the time and day of the virtual clinic through a secure application that guarantees the patient's privacy.

The hospital said in a statement, "The service is currently available to patients who follow up in some medical specialties, according to the evaluation of the attending physician, especially those who have difficulty coming to the hospital because of the distance or other reasons."
