Moon Sighting Committee to hold meeting on Thursday

Muscat: The Moon Sighting Committee for the month of Ramadan will meet on Thursday to investigate the vision of the crescent.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said, "The main committee for exploring the vision of the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year 1441, will meet on Thursday at the General Office of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs headed by His Excellency the Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs."

"The Ministry called on citizens and residents to investigate the vision of the crescent with the need to adhere to the instructions issued by the Supreme Committee in charge of discussing a mechanism to deal with developments resulting from the spread of the coronavirus and current conditions in cooperation with field teams or communicate with sub-committees in the offices of their Highnesses and Walies," the statement added.
