Muscat: The Supreme Committee dealing with Covid-19 in Oman has taken a number of measures on Monday to control the spread of coronavirus during Ramadan.
1. The committee stresses that everyone should avoid gatherings during the holy month of Ramadan.
2. Mosques will remain closed during Ramadan except for Azzan (calling for prayer). No prayers will be allowed inside the mosque.
3. It is strictly forbidden to hold Ramadan gatherings such as iftar in mosques, or other places such as tents, and conduct sports, cultural and other group activities.
4. Muscat Governorate will be under lockdown till Friday, May 8, 10am.
