Clear skies, some rainfall forecast for Oman

Muscat: Most parts of the Sultanate will have clear to partially cloudy skies on Monday. There are convective clouds development and isolated rain and occasional thundershowers forecast over the governorates of Al Wusta, Dhofar, South Al Sharqiyah and Musandam, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said.

In its weather forecast, PACA said: “Clear to partly cloudy skies over most of the Sultanate's governorates with chances of isolated and chances of convective cloud developments and rain, occasionally thundershowers over Musandam governorate and Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas. Chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over parts of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates."

The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 34 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees in Muscat, 31 degrees and 27 degrees in Salalah, 34 degrees and 24 degrees in Khasab, 31 degrees and 25 degrees in Sohar, 37 degrees and 25 degrees in Sur, 31 degrees and 26 degrees in Masirah, 37 degrees and 23 in Rustaq, 37 degrees and 25 degrees in Buraimi, 37 degrees and 26 in Ibri, 37 degrees and 24 degrees in Nizwa and 36 degrees and 22 in Haima.

The Oman News Agency (ONA), said: “The highest temperature expected on Monday is 37 degrees in Fahud, wilayats of Adam, Buraimi, Ibri, Rustaq, Nizwa, Sur, Ibra, Amirat, Samail and Al Mudhaibi and the lowest is 10 degrees in Jabal Shams.”
