Muscat: A new digital platform is being developed to help buy and sell goods at the Central Vegetables and Fruits Market, to help make it easier for customers and traders who operate there.
Muscat Municipality signed yesterday a memorandum of understanding with Oman Technology Fund (OTF) on trading at the Central Vegetables and Fruits Market through its Athmar Platform, which will include the provision of technical assistance from OTF in the field of development of municipal work and enhancement of services offered to the community.
Dr Khalid bin Dawood Al Zadjali, Director General at the Directorate General of Information Technology signed the agreement on behalf of Muscat Municipality. It was signed from OTF by Yosef bin Ali Al Harthy, the organisation’s chief executive officer.
The Athmar Platform is expected to be the cornerstone of future cooperation between Muscat Municipality and Oman Technology Fund.
