Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries plans to import more than 35,000 sheep into the Sultanate during the month of April.
A statement issued online by Oman TV said: "The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries announces that more than 35,000 sheep will arrive at Oman ports during April."
The Ministry pointed out that more than 138,000 sheep and more than 8,000 cows had arrived from Australia, South Africa, Sudan and Somalia into Oman last March.
"The Sultanate continues to provide all commodities and food products for the citizens and residents," the statement added.
