Oman Human Rights Commission praises His Majesty

Muscat: Oman Human Rights Commission has praised the Royal Decrees promulgated by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on the Sultanate of Oman joining the International Convention for Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance.

It also hailed the Sultanate joining the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which all reaffirmed the government's keenness for enhancement and protection of human rights and its response to the international organisations concerned with human rights, mainly the United Nations.

Oman Human Rights Commission expressed its thanks and gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik and reaffirmed that it would continue to discharge its responsibilities and duties for the interest of human rights in the Sultanate.
