Sultan’s Armed Forces, Royal Oman Police issue statement

Muscat: The Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and Royal Oman Police (ROP) has issued a joint statement on Wednesday on the measures taken by the security agencies at the control checkpoints across the governorates of the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online by the Ministry of Defence said that: “The committee would like to thank all citizens and residents for their understanding and commitment to the national measures taken to control the spread of the virus,”

1.These precautionary measures taken are aimed at reducing the impact of the virus. The traffic has been tightened to and from the governorates to safeguard the citizens and residents.

2- The Committee calls upon all citizens and residents to take into consideration the importance of staying at home and going out unless it is absolutely necessary.

3- Carry ID or labour card, as everyone will be asked to disclose the reasons and justifications for their movement.

4- Those who are travelling to work must carry the letter from their company explaining the nature of their work and they must also carry ID cards.

5- Reduce your travel between governorates and move only during extreme cases.

6- The security agencies will record the numbers of vehicles that are repeatedly moving without any justification and will take appropriate action.
