Driving to work? Private sector employees must carry letter from company: ROP

Muscat: Private sector employees who are required to go to workplace must always carry a letter from their company while on the road, Royal Oman Police said on Wednesday.

Speaking to Times of Oman, a senior ROP official said: “Both expats and residents who are required to go to work must carry a letter from their company (on the company letterhead) explaining the nature of their work and the details of the employee. Both residents and citizens must also carry their ID cards at all times,” ROP official said.

"There will be flexibility for road users to and from Muscat Governorate during the next two days. However, I request everyone to adhere to the regulations put in place by the authorities. Violating them is punishable by the law,” he added.
