Muscat: International driving licences issued in Oman are not valid in Austria, the Omani embassy in Austria has tweeted.
When Times of Oman contacted the embassy, they said, “The issued statement was an announcement to inform all visitors coming from the Sultanate to Austria that the Omani national and international driving licenses issued in the Sultanate are not valid to drive within the Austrian territories.”
“Our aim is to provide all visitors with first-hand information to spare them any inconveniences during their visit,” they added.
The Oman Automobile Association (OAA) has released a list of countries where it is permitted to drive with an International driving license issued in Oman.
