Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) carried out practical exercises as part of the ongoing Al Shomoukh 2, Saif Al Sarea 3 military exercises on Sunday.
According to officials, the exercise revolved around hypotheses to be dealt with by Royal Oman Police at various events, aimed at maintaining security and public order.
Sharing photos and videos of the exercise, police said, "ROP carried out a practical exercise as part of Al Shomoukh 2, Saif Al Sarea 3 at the military parade field of the Special Task Forces, under the patronage of Major General Matar bin Salim bin Rashid Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (Commander of the Unified Joint Military).
"The exercise was carried out by the Special Task Force command, with the support of the General Directorate of Police Aviation and Cavalry Police unit. The objectives of the exercise revolve around hypotheses to be dealt with by the Royal Oman Police in accordance with various events aimed at maintaining security and public order."
