Pakistan envoy delivers message to transport minister

Muscat: The ambassador of Pakistan met with the minister for transport and communication on Monday to discuss Pakistan and Oman's bilateral relations, the embassy announced.
In the meeting, Ali Javed, ambassador of Pakistan to Oman presented to the minister a written message from Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo, minister of ports and shipping in Pakistan.
The ambassador also presented a special edition of the Embassy Newsletter, showcasing celebrations of Oman's National day by the Pakistani community in Oman.
Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salim Al Futaisi affirmed the two countries' strong bilateral relations, and praised the Pakistani community in Oman and their contributions to the public and private sector.
The two discussed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and their interest in cooperating with regards to trade, and the vast and untapped potential regarding the sector.
"Oman is Pakistan's closest strategic maritime neighbour, home to 262 Pakistanis who have rendered enormous service to bilateral friendship," the statement read.
Al Futaisi echoed this sentiment, observing that both countries enjoy extraordinary relations, deeply embedded in common history, faith and kinship.
