Muscat: Oman Airports authority issued a statement on Bahrain bound passengers who are stranded at Muscat International Airport.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Oman Airports has clarified that the passengers were stopped from flying despite meeting all the requirements for the travel because they were present at the departure gate before the time of travel which violated international travel regulations.
“Royal Oman Police, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation and other agencies are trying to find solutions and provide all the necessary care for the passengers,” the statement said.
According to Oman Airports, the passengers refused to travel on the flight designated by the airline that agreed to take them to the destination where they came from.
“Oman Airports have succeeded, in coordinating with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Sultanate, in allocating an airline that would take them to Bahrain International Airport,” the statement added.
