Muscat: Everyone in the Sultanate must believe that they are a possible carrier of COVID-19 and that the person they are speaking to is also carrying the virus, Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi cautioned on Wednesday.

The Minister said, "There will be a text-messaging based service soon to contribute to the efforts of combatting the COVID-19 outbreak. Everyone should act now as if they are carrying the virus or that the person they are meeting is a carrier of the virus."

He expressed hope that citizens and residents would remain in their homes and abide by instructions issued in this regard. "This is an unpredictable epidemic and society should get used to circumstances that are not normal."
