More than OMR1.7m recovered by consumer protection in Oman

Muscat: According to a report by the Directorate General of studies and development, the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) was able to refund an amount of OMR1,783,727 in 2016.
The report explained the annual statistical indications for the year 2016, which pointed out that the public Diwan of Authority at Governorate of Muscat was able to recover an amount of OMR548,471.
Dhofar recovered an amount of OMR442. While the Directorate of Al Seeb recovered an amount of OMR149,614, followed by Al Batina North which recovered an amount of OMR137,634.
The Directorate of Interior recovered an amount of OMR85,081 while Southern Sharqyia recovered an amount of OMR65,519.
In Southern Batina’s Barka, an amount of OMR70,649 was recovered while the Directorate of Buraimi has recovered an amount of OMR40,509.
Southern Batina’s Rustaq had recovered an amount of OMR22,647 while the Directorate of Al Wusta, which recovered an amount of OMR 1,074 and Dibba at OMR427.
