Indonesian vice president receives State Council chairman

Jakarta: Jusuf Kalla, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia received on the sidelines of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Summit yesterday Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council, who is leading the Sultanate's delegation in the summit.
During the meeting, Dr Al Mantheri conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to President Joko Widodo of the Republic of Indonesia along with His Majesty's best wishes of good health and happiness to President Widodo and the Indonesian friendly people further progress and prosperity.
On his turn, the Indonesian Vice President asked Dr Al Mantheri to convey greetings of President Widodo to His Majesty the Sultan, along with his best wishes of good health and well-being to His Majesty, and the Omani people further progress and welfare under the wise leadership of His Majesty.
The meeting touched on the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Indonesia and means of promoting them in various areas to serve interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples. The meeting also touched on agenda of the summit.
The meeting was attended by members of the delegation accompanying Dr. Al Mantheri and some Indonesian officials.
