Gulab Shivaji Kedar is a student at what's called 'grandmother's school' - set up to teach women over the age of 60 how to read and write. The lessons are held in a classroom in the village of Phangane, 75 miles east of Mumbai. They go for two hours a day, six days a week, scheduled in the afternoon so the students can finish their chores.
