Invest in Oman delegation to visit India

Muscat: Ithraa, Oman’s inward investment and export promotion agency will lead a contingent of five high-profile organisations from the Sultanate
to connect with Indian investors looking for commercial opportunities.
The organisations being led by Ithraa include the Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm (SEZAD); ASSAS; Khimji Ramdas; Port of Duqm and Oman Logistics Company (Khazaen).
The Omani delegation aims to raise awareness of investment opportunities in Oman, the available opportunities for Indian companies considering the Sultanate, and provide an opportunity for business leaders from both nations to make important connections.
Organised in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry, the visit begins on 6 March in New Delhi where the delegation will hold B2B meetings with Indian companies all in an effort to develop new business opportunities and strengthen investment ties in manufacturing, tourism, mining and petrochemicals.
The Omani business delegation will also visit investors in Pune and Ahmedabad.
Commenting on the New Delhi, Pune and Ahmedabad visit, Alya Al Hosani, Ithraa’s Director of Industrial Investment explained: “the caliber of Indian small to medium-sized enterprises has improved significantly over the past ten years and many are looking to enter the GCC market using Oman as their gateway. We particularly focus on attracting firms working in manufacturing, mining, petrochemicals and tourism.”
The high-profile delegation looks to deepen Oman-Indo business partnership for the long-term.
“Significant opportunities exist for Indian companies to set-up and grow in Oman. Indeed, this is the message we’ll be delivering loud and clear this week,” concluded Al Hosani.
