Quarantine must for travellers entering Oman: Ministry of Health

Muscat: The Ministry of Health has announced to impose quarantine on all travellers entering the Sultanate.

A statement issued online said: “ The Ministry of Health urges all travelers entering the Sultanate from the various points of entry land, sea and air as of the date March 2,2020, to adhere to imposing the home or institutional quarantine.”

“This came in accordance with the decisions issued by the supreme Committee entrusted with the investigation of the Coronavirus ( COVID - 19) on March 15, 2020, regarding imposing the quarantine on all travellers entering the Sultanate from all points of entry land, sea and air, including Omanis, which has taken effect today March 17, 2020,” the statement said.

“In case of any symptoms one must contact the MOH Contact Center or the nearest health institution on No 1212 or 24441999,” statement added.
